Smith & Nephew extends capacity of US professional education with opening of state-of-the-art training facility in Phoenix, Arizona

Smith & Nephew (LSE:SN, NYSE:SNN), the global medical technology business, is pleased to announce the opening of its new surgical training center in Phoenix, Arizona. This facility will bring professional development and skills training to customers, primarily in the West and Southwest of the United States, complementing Smith & Nephew’s existing facilities in Memphis TN, Andover MA, Austin TX and Plymouth MN.

Equipped with the latest technology and products, the world-class facility simulates a surgical environment with six hospital operating stations as well as an auditorium for lectures and high-definition video for procedure observation. Healthcare professionals will be able to learn new techniques and refine skills first hand whilst ensuring the safe and effective use of Smith & Nephew products including the new NAVIO™ robotics-assisted Surgical System.
