TANDEM◊ Bipolar and Unipolar System
Bipolar and unipolar implants such as the TANDEM System are designed to restore hip stability1,2
Maximising performance, from every angle
The TANDEM System was developed to offer the flexibility of bipolar and unipolar hip arthroplasty trialling approaches.
- Bipolar: An easy-to-assemble design3 with an average pull-out strength of approximately 400lbs4 (28mm femoral head). Pre-assembled poly components are designed to minimise micro-motion, backside wear and rotational/axial movements
- Unipolar: Conversion sleeves allow bipolar trial shells to be converted to unipolar shells for surgeons who prefer unipolar prostheses in partial hip replacement
