We are driven by a shared purpose – Life Unlimited

We care for one another professionally and personally. This means making sure that you have the support and flexibility you need to be happy, healthy and productive, in a culture and environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, respected both as an individual and as part of a team, and able to speak up for what they believe in.

Because Life Unlimited begins with you.

Inclusion, Diversity + Equity

At Smith+Nephew, we strive to create a culture of belonging where all employees can bring their full selves and best ideas. We are committed to creating a psychologically safe environment that fosters innovation, delivers business success and strengthens engagement and personal fulfilment.

Employee Inclusion Groups (EIGs) support our commitment to inclusion and diversity. EIGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace, creating a culture that supports diversity of thought, background and perspective.

Our EIGs cover a broad spectrum of diversity and provide a network for employees to engage and collaborate.

Flexibility at work

We define flexibility as where we work, when we work, and how we work.

Putting flexibility into practice can look different for every employee depending on their personality, what team they are in and their role.

Your wellbeing at work

When you’re at your best, we’re a far better company

At Smith+Nephew you’re more than just an employee, you are a part of a global team with a shared purpose: bringing Life Unlimited to our customers and their patients.

We provide much more than excellent financial benefits. We care about you and your wellbeing beyond the workplace. We offer a host of personal wellness programmes, paid volunteer time, and we match your charitable donations, to name just a few ways that we support you as an individual.

Our global employee assistance programme offers access to a range of services to all employees and their households. Services include therapy, coaching, access to care navigators and work-life services.

Our mental health first aider programme has now been rolled out in multiple countries. Mental health first aiders are often just 'someone to talk to' but they are also trained to help identify when help is needed, identify the level of support needed and signpost people to helplines, counselling and professional support.
