ACTICOAT^◊

ACTICOAT ist ein antimikrobieller Wundverband mit einem patentierten Verfahren der Silberaufbringung. Dadurch ist Acticoat in der Lage, schnell und hoch dosiert Silber freizusetzen.^1,2 Eine Vielzahl von Keimen wird bereits in weniger als 30 Minuten abgetötet.^1,2 ACTICOAT bildet zudem eine bis zu drei Tage wirksame Barriere gegen bakterielle Kontamination³ und tötet pathogene Mikroorganismen in der Wunde ab. Dadurch werden Infektionen verhindert.^4,5,6 ACTICOAT trägt so zu einer schnelleren Heilung bei als andere antimikrobielle Verbände.⁷ ACTICOAT hat eine verklebungsarme Beschichtung, die einen atraumatischen Verbandwechsel für den Patienten ermöglicht.⁸

Eigenschaften und Nutzen 

ACTICOAT sorgt durch eine langanhaltende Freisetzung von hoch dosiertem Silber für eine antimikrobielle Barriere, die bis zu drei Tage wirksam ist.^1,2,3 Dadurch wird das Risiko der Keimbesiedlung reduziert und einer Infektion vorbeugt.^4,5,6 Zudem sind weniger Verbandwechsel nötig. Die äußere Beschichtung von ACTICOAT minimiert das Risiko des Verklebens mit der Wunde. Dies ermöglicht  einen atraumatischen Verbandwechsel für den Patienten.⁷

Anwendungsgebiete

ACTICOAT ist ein absorbierender antimikrobieller Schutzverband bei mehr oder minder tiefen Wunden wie z.B. Dekubitalulcera, Ulcus cruris, Diabetisches Ulcus, Brandwunden und Transplantationsarealen. ACTICOAT kann bei infizierten Wunden angewendet werden. Die Infektion sollte entsprechend dem lokalen Protokoll inspitiert und behandelt werden.
