IV3000 product logo and descriptor

IV3000 meets the criteria for an ideal IV site dressing as defined in published clinical guidance.

One of the most important considerations is to choose a dressing that protects the catheter site from infection, and various guidelines give recommendations about the best type of dressing to ensure this.

United Kingdom evidence-based guidelines for preventing healthcare associated infections (the EPIC project), used globally, state that dressings must be permeable to water vapour in order to prevent the growth of local microflora. Similarly, the US Department of Health and Human Services Guidelines suggest dressings that permit the escape of moisture may be associated with lower rates of skin colonisation, helping to prevent catheter-related infection.
