Acetabular Revision Rings

Acetabular Revision Rings

Product Information

The CONTOUR  Acetabular Ring design protects the bone graft while providing a stable base of fixation for cement and a polyethylene cup. In addition, the ring allows proper anatomical positioning of the polyethylene socket independent of the metal ring.

Features and Benefits

Reinforcement Ring

  • Commercially Pure (CP) titanium.
  • Cement buttress to minimize unsupported cement.
  • Threaded hole for controlled insertion.
  • 9 sizes from 44 to 68mm.

Reconstruction Ring

  • CP titanium for easier contouring.
  • Three flanges enhance ring fixation and provide multiple screw hole options.
  • Superior/posterior cement buttresses to minimize unsupported cement.
  • Threaded hole for controlled insertion.
  • Rough surface finish to improve cement bonding and bone attachment.
  • The Contour Reconstruction Ring is designed exclusively for revision situations. It can be implanted if support exists superoposteriorly against the ilium and inferiorly against the ischium. Indications include large cavitary defects, medial wall defects, segmental defects involving the anterior or posterior wall, and pelvic discontinuity.

Indications

Reinforcement Ring

Indications - Severe osteoporosis, acetabular erosion, multiple cysts, mild protrusion, contained cavitary defects.

Acetabular reinforcement rings are intended to be used in primary and revision surgeries where the acetabulum has the deficiencies of the acetabular roof, anterior or posterior pillar, medial wall deficiency and/or protrusion as a result of the indications listed previously.

Application - Adequate support in the superior posterior and inferior medial quadrants of the host bone can be achieved. Cement buttress to minimize unsupported cement. Commercially pure titanium. Threaded hole for controlled insertion.

Reconstruction Ring

Indications - Large cavitary defects, medial wall defects, segmental defects involving the anterior or posterior wall and pelvic discontinuity.

Application - Support exists in the superior posterior regions and the inferior region.
Commercially pure titanium for contouring the flanges. Three flanges enhance ring fixation and provide multiple screw hole options. Superior/posterior cement buttresses to minimize unsupported cement. Threaded hole for controlled insertion. Rough surface finish to improve cement bonding and bone attachment.
