Enjoying Childhood

Lansana

Lansana was rescued from the civil war in Sierra Leone by an American Surgeon and taken to the US for medical treatment. Lansana had been bitten by a snake that was not treated properly.

He developed osteomyelitis (infection of the bone) and almost lost his leg. With a team of very dedicated surgeons, months of treatment and the ILIZAROV◊ External Fixator, Lansana is now running and playing again.
