In this video, Dr Ian Lo discusses subscapularis tears and presents data showing that repairing the tear arthroscopically or in an open procedure have the same results. He walks through how to repair a subscapularis tear arthroscopically and important things to note during the procedure.
In his conclusion, he states that arthroscopy is the standard for treating subscap tears. He recognizes that this is a difficult procedure because there is only a 70degree visualization of the biceps and has issues such as the comma sign and different releases.
