Video Information

In this video, Dr Van Hellemondt discusses the use of a 3D printed acetabular component for a revision hip arthroplasty. He shows the Materialize model, how it works and how to implement it. He concludes by saying that there are promising results using 3D printed custom implants on the market today in over 60 cases. Data on the functional outcome measures for these implants is expected to be available in 2018. In his understanding, there has been no mechanical loosening even in large defects / pelvic discontinuity's.
