In this video, Dr Joshua Gary discusses the forearm anatomy in great detail, highlighting the location of both bones, muscles, nerves, veins and arteries. In the second half of his presentation, he goes through the various surgical approaches and incisions to gain access to the fractured radius or ulna. He shows how to expose the bone to have enough room to put on a plate or internal fixation device.
Watch Dr Gary's surgical demonstrations of the distal radius/forearm approach and distal radius dorsal approach.
