Video Information

In this video, Dr Nana Hyldig shares study and clinical outcome data on the use of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) and the results it has on healing surgical incisions without infections. When used in a study of obese women who had given birth via caesarean section, the use of NPWT had a tremendous effect on the reduction of surgical site infection. Dr Hyldig used the data she collected and reviewed to give clear guidelines as to when she believes a NPWT treatment should be done and when standard surgical bandages are sufficient.
