4th International NPWT Expert Meeting
Berlin, Germany, 12th and 13th April 2013

Chair’s welcome
Welcome to the 4th International Expert Meeting on Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). Ever since our first meeting 4 years ago, developments in NPWT have continued to run at a considerable pace. We continue to learn about how NPWT works, where and how it can best be applied, and how to assess the huge body of literature that supports its use. At the same time, the systems and devices that deliver NPWT continue to evolve. These meetings are a great opportunity for us to come together and understand the latest thinking behind NPWT, and how we can harness these different factors in the evolution of this important therapy.

This particular meeting has been divided into 2 parts - the first day is devoted to presentations on the latest developments in 4 specific areas where NPWT is undergoing significant advances, and will also look in more detail at how to unlock the potential for extensive use of NPWT in the community. The second day consists of a series of specialist workshops which allow us to explore these aspects of NPWT in greater detail.
