We have a duty to report acts of non-compliance. These systems are designed to help us recognise and report issues.
The Code of Conduct and Business Principles, which incorporates our values of performance, innovation and trust, sets out the principles which the Group is expected to follow in all aspects of its business. An ethical and honest approach in all we do at Smith & Nephew is paramount and if there are breaches of the Code they should be reported to the Chief Compliance Officer for action.
The purpose of the the reporting process is to encourage employees to disclose any malpractice or misconduct of which they become aware and importantly to provide protection for employees who report allegations of such malpractice or misconduct. The process applies to all employees, suppliers, agents, contractors and customers of the Group.
